What our previous guests have to say
There are bigger houses with spectacular panoramas but very few that can boast a better location in town. We walked along the coastal path most days which is stunning. However, when we wanted to venture out for food and drink everything is on your doorstep. The Porthmeor Cafe is less than 100 yards away (which incidentally is amazing) but the centre of town is less than 100 yards in the other direction.
The house itself worked really well for the 5 of us. I think for a group of up to 6 it’s perfect. High end TV’s, Sonos, well equipped kitchen and very clever decking in the back garden for a summer cocktail (I’d imagine as we weren’t brave enough to sit out in December). Apologies to anyone who wants to book if for New Year 2020 as I’ve already reserved it.

The house was just amazing and was very well equipped with very high end equipment. We loved the hamper that was left for us on arrival and thought it was a very nice touch. We would recommend staying here for anyone. Ideal location 30 seconds from front door to the nearby beach and only a few minute stroll to all of the picturesque cobble streets and lovely shops/restaurants. Will 100% stay here again in the future and will be returning every year to St Ives we loved it the that much.

Outdoor space could do with slightly more comfortable furniture and some cover to protect from both sun and seagulls!

It can be difficult to find a suitable holiday for a teenager, but my 15 year old daughter loved the fact the shops and restaurants were so close, that she could pop back from the beach for the toilet, the impressive TV in her room, the sound system and of course, the wifi! Everything has been thought of in the house – I cannot say it was a home from home because it was much more luxurious than that! The quality of everything from the crockery and coffee machine, to the unbelievably comfy beds and cotton bedding, made it feel a really special holiday.
Having a lower ground entrance with a wet room and storage for beach things is such a good idea, as are the different levels of seating areas at the back and front, which caught the sun all day. At the end of a holiday, I normally look forward to returning to the comforts of home, but not this time – I wish I could have stayed a lot longer! Some people warned us that car parking maybe a problem at St Ives, and although Rockfish has its own parking space, we had a large van and so we bought a weekly ticket which allowed us to park in many carparks across Cornwall. We never found parking a problem. There is plenty of space to load and unload just outside Rockfish when you arrive and leave and a number of car parks very close by. So if you are looking for a perfect location, with luxurious and practical accommodation, I cannot recommend here more highly and will definitely be going back.

In terms of the property itself, the incredible location is matched by the attention to detail that has gone into the recent renovation. The open plan kitchen, dining and lounger areas works really well. The quality of the fittings was very impressive: large flat screen tvs with sonos speakers, luxurious throws and cushions which combined with high specification furniture, cutlery and crockery give a bespoke feel…..a home from home. The decision to have a separate entrance at the lower level with its boot room and separate shower/wc was a wise one. It allows all the beach “stuff” to be stored out of the way and avoids sand being brought back into the living areas. The master bedroom on the top floor is huge and feels like a five star hotel suite.
Our week went by too quickly and with so much to see and do we have already booked for next year !
